Mr Childs has replaced both my knees over the past twelve months. The care I received was fantastic both pre, during and post operative. When I've met with him, he always fully explains the procedures and also what I have to do to get the maximum benefit from my new knees. He is very approachable and friendly and immediately puts you at ease. All my appointments in outpatients with him have always been on time and have never had to wait. I have no suggestions for improving what I already consider to be a first-class service. I would just like to thank Mr Childs for giving me back much improved mobility that has allowed me to fully enjoy my hobbies of gym workouts, golf, paddleboarding and walking as well as being able to have a kick about with my grandchildren pain free.

From our first meeting with Mr Childs I was impressed with his manner and obvious interest in my case. He listened and remembered what I had to say. He clearly explained and illustrated the details of my planned operation. He gave me the option of a much shorter wait for the operation if I was willing to travel to Wrightington. As a retired community nurse and health visitor (40 years +) I was still anxious about the operation.Things progressed well during the operation and the after care on the ward was faultless. The whole experience felt joined up,professional and caring. The physios and all ward staff were fabulous. Thank you Mr Childs from my son and I for a successful operation enhancing the quality of my life.

What a wonderful man . From start to Finnish he explained to me the condition of my hip and what needed to be done . The operation was done under epidural injection and I was waken and comfortable throughout within two days I was discharged and I was able to walk after two weeks i was walking very well after three weeks I went back for my check up every thing was good all in all he has been a very pleasant man and I am a very thankful patient. I can’t praise Him enough.

Great bedside manner! Listened to what I had to say. Explained fully what the results of my scan meant for me and then gave me choices to what treatments was available and what he believed was best for me. He also included the pro's and con's of what the treatments consisted off, allowing me to make an informed choice. I feel that I am in very good hands with this doctor!
